Favourite book of the month

I feel really weird saying that this one was my favourite because it’s so terribly dark and upsetting, but it was the best one out of the lot.

  • I was lucky enough to attend the DestinationHQ event this month, which is where I got The First Time… and The Lost Ones! Very grateful to have been invited and finally got to meet the wonderful Janel @ Keeper of Pages!
  • My sister bought me SSDGM on pre-order for Christmas so that got to me this month! Big love for that!
  • @bclubbetty on Instagram surprised me with The Secret Life of Cows because she knows just how much I love the animals! Angel!!
  • For this month’s Busy Mama Book Swap I was partnered with my friend Erren @abookloversdiary and she treated me to THREE (!!) books – Horrorstor, Piercing and The Whisper Man!!

Book goal update

Didn’t manage to keep the speedy reading up like I’d hoped, but still way ahead! So I’m a happy girl!

Here are the pics I posted on IG this month!  (Pls follow my account, linked in the heading above!)

Personal update

My wonderful friend Terri (@booktrovert.momma on IG) and I did a snack swap this month and the parcel I received from her was immense! It was so stuffed full of amazing goodies! I’m still getting through them all, but wow! I’ve discovered my love for Milano Chocolate Mint biscuits!!

For Father’s Day this month, I took my dad out for a meal and about him a Chris Carter book. Food and Books… all we need in life really!

It’s only been a few months but the garden is finally sorted and I planted the grass seeds! Hopefully, by the end of this month, we’ll have something that resembles a lawn so I can sit out and sunbathe!

This weekend just gone, on the hottest day of the year, I went to my friends birthday BBQ and spent the whole day drinking beers and having a laugh with my mates. It was a really great day that started in a garden and ended up in a gross club. Excellent.

That’s a wrap

So that’s it for this month, I hope you all had a nice May too! What were some of your highlights of this month?
