Book goal update
I remain ahead of schedule! If I can keep this “speedy” reading up, I’ll smash my goal this year!!

Here are the pics I posted on IG this month! I received the most likes on a picture ever this month – 700 and counting!! (Pls follow my account, linked in the heading above!)

Personal update
At the beginning of May, I went to Kew Gardens. It was absolutely bloody freezing but it didn’t rain too much so we could appreciate the gardens. It was a nice day but it gave me a foot injury that lasted just over a week that was highly irritating!
I also had the first ever sleepover guests to the house and watched the most awful horror film, Slenderman.
This month I created myself a TBR jar because being a mood reader means that a load of my older purchased books have been left unread for years! It turns out I have 250 unread books in total – oops!!
If you follow me on IG you’ll know that some cows moved into the field opposite our house and I’ve been having a lot of fun watching them. It’s got to the point now that people are tagging me in pics if they ever come across a cow haha! Also on one of the nicer evenings, we went for a walk and came across a field of sheep just chilling out, was kind of frightened they’d chase me.
One Saturday I went out to a friends gig and then had a really pleasant pub drinking evening afterwards. On the Sunday after, I went to a friends for a BBQ, spent a whole 9 hours with all my friends and it was one of the best days I’ve had in absolutely ages!
I also had a super long bank holiday weekend! Took the Friday off and went up to York with my cousin & her bf to see my other cousins & her fiance. It was a really lovely weekend all spent together. We saw the sights, drove a boat, and ate fantastic food. We had a bit of a messy night on Friday, not getting in until 4am and then on Saturday we played a super complex but fun board game!
Also went for afternoon tea on Tuesday, which was a present from my cousin at Christmas. It was super tasty and in a really cute hotel! The same day, we went to IKEA and picked up some extra house bits, and ordered a new bookcase from Argos which arrived the same day.
That’s a wrap
So that’s it for this month, I hope you all had a nice May too! What were some of your highlights of this month?
Great month! May was also a great reading month for me, thank gosh. I’m a couple books ahead of schedule, so I hope I can beat my reading challenge!! So many lovely photos of you on insta!! ❤ And is that high tea?!! I love high tea …

‘Geek Love’ hit me pretty hard, many years ago. I really liked it, though, I did not care for her other books.
Happy Trails!

I have never seen any of her other work so I always assume she was a one hit wonder!

I’ve seen the Devil and Harper Lee and thought it a bit strange that a book on what sounded like the same subject was coming out at the same time as Furious Hours, which I loved. It seems like you didn’t like this one so much?
Gorgeous pictures!!

It’s definitely a similar sounding book! I might give Furious Hours a go as you’re right, I didn’t like The Devil and Harper Lee. It was a very short listen (audiobook!) and it was interesting enough, however is just skimmed the surface. I felt left wanting to know more! I’ll get arounf to doing a ful lreview at some point haha. And thank you so much! 🙂

Furious Hours is definitely in depth, and just such a good read! I think it’s perfect if you want to know more about the Reverend story and Harper Lee herself. I really loved it.

Looks like you had a great month! I have Little Darlings on ebook but haven’t gotten to it yet. I really want to though! 👌🏼 I unfortunately only read one book in May, so I’m behind on my GR challenge – but I definitely plan on catching up 😁
Happy reading 😊
