Favourite book of the month
I can’t pick this month. Sometimes I can have a stronger 5 star read over another, however, these two books were just too different from each other to compare. They’re both my favourite.

Big thank you to @slowreaderclub on Instagram for The Book of Essie and @katyaellis_ & Quercus Books for sending me the two Dave Cullen books!

Book goal update
Ahh, satisfying… they all fit perfectly. Maybe I should just stop at 5?
I’m one book ahead of schedule currently, if I’d continued reading at the same pace as I was at the beginning of the month, I could have been 5 books ahead of schedule. Nevermind, still ahead!

Here are the pics I posted on IG this month! I’ve not posted much at all because I haven’t been reading much at all either…

Personal update
February has been a really nice month for me, two very big exciting things happened this month!
First of all, my dad got married!! Just last weekend dad and (his now wife!!) Debbie had their wedding and it was such a lovely, lovely day! I was a bridesmaid, along with 4 others, and my whole family were there, as well as my best friends and Matt of course. It was pretty much a stress-free experience for me, which meant I could really enjoy the day and get all emotional over how in love my dad and Debbie looked.
Errrr the next big thing is that I own a house now? Matt & I completed on our house purchase on Monday 25th, which is INSANE and now we OWN A HOUSE?! We haven’t moved in yet because we still need carpets putting down on the top floor, but once that’s all done, we will be living in our own place together.
Lastly, just a small something that was fun that I discovered this month that I’ve been having fun with – Letterboxd! It’s like Goodreads but for movies and it’s far better than IMDb because it’s more like a social platform rather than just a database. I’ve watched a few movies this month, including:
- Prom Night (2008) ⭐1/2
- The Harvest / Can’t Come Out to Play ⭐⭐⭐
- Let Her Out ⭐⭐1/2
- Suburbicon ⭐⭐1/2
- The Stepford Wives ⭐⭐⭐
- Hereditary (second watch) ⭐⭐⭐⭐1/2
- The House That Jack Built ⭐⭐⭐
That’s a wrap
So that’s it for this month, I hope you all had a nice February too! What were some of your highlights of this month?
You look so lovely and very very happy! Congrats on your new house too, how exciting to have your own place! Oh I like the background behind Columbine and Parkland, so cool! I hope they’ll be great reads!

Congrats to your dad and congrats on the house! What an exciting month! Also, you look absolutely beautiful in that dress!
You and I had a similar reading month ha-ha! I got through two really quickly at the beginning, then one more children’s novel for an author … and then got stuck on a book and didn’t read anything else. I finally decided to DNF it … oh well …

Sounds like February was a great month overall! Sometimes personal life progress has to take precedence over reading. I love the wedding pics, and you look stunning in the bridesmaid’s dress! Everyone looks so happy. 🙂
