Book goal update
I didn’t manage to complete my reading goal this year. I’ve been in so many slumps over the past 12 months, I’m even just impressed with myself that I managed to read over 40 books! For 2019, I’ve set my goal much lower, just in preparation for many more reading slumps… although hopefully, I won’t have nearly as many!

Here are the pics I posted on IG this month! – a very uneventful month on Instagram…

Music
Turns out I love Nothing Breaks Like a Heart by Mark Ronsons ft. Miley Cyrus!
Other than that, all I listened to was Christmas music.

Personal update
December was an absolutely lovely month, and not just because of Christmas!
Firstly, I had loads of time off work over the month. In fact, I had a day off each week, so it was nice to have a bit more of a relaxing month than normal, and great for doing my Christmas shopping!
Talking of Christmas shopping, I spent a couple of days dedicated to shopping, one with my mum, the other with Matt. On the day with my mum, we spent our day over in Stratford-upon-Avon, as that’s where my mum now works. We had a nice day out with a pizza lunch and then ended the day watching an interesting interactive play called Fierce Sisters.
On the shopping day with Matt, it was just like any other busy Christmas shopping day, until we got to go and see our house!! For real, not just the mock up online!! There’s our little future home!!
It was also Matt’s birthday on the 24th, and while we both had to work the morning of his birthday, we still had a lovely day together!
We also spent a few nights out with our friends. Once before Christmas, because some people couldn’t see us for Matt’s birthday outing on the 29th. Then again on the 29th to celebrate Matt’s birthday!
Then, of course, it was New Years! I didn’t actually do much. Matt & I spent the evening at our friends. We had a few drinks and played games. It was a lovely way to bring in 2019!!
That’s a wrap
So that’s it for this month, and for 2018! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year too!
What were some of your highlights of this month?

Awwww I love this post. And what a lovely house! I hope everything goes right for you and Matt and the new lovely home! I love those Orwell editions — they’ll look so pretty together on a shelf. Not to mention that the books are amazing. Also, have fun reading the graphic novel of To Kill a Mockingbird! Have a great January 🤗

Same with me! It’s still such a sad scene. Apparently it happens very quickly in the book, so I think I’ll survive 🙂
