My Favourite Reviews of the Week | 18th August

Faves 18 Aug

Hello again bookish friends! I’m here again with my favourite reviews of the week!

I got a little behind on this post this week and my gosh, the amount of scrolling I’ve had to do to go back far enough to find all the reviews is horrifying. Note to self: don’t get behind on collecting review for this post!!

I hope you guys enjoy the post and find a few reviews you missed from your feed this week!

The inspiration for this blog meme comes from Novels and Nonfiction’s “Links I Loved This Week” posts.

Jen Meds Book Reviews reviewed The Affair by Sheryl Browne – Jen’s review for this book makes it sound really intriguing, even to someone like me who doesn’t enjoy domestic dramas!

The Sunday Feeling reviewed Blood Sisters by Jane Corry – wonderful review for a book that got Ali out of her dreaded reading slump!

The Belgian Reviewer reviewed The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle – yet another fantastic review for this book, reminding me I really need to pick it up soon!

Keeper of Pages reviewed Do No Harm by L. V. Hay – not always a fan of domestic thrillers personally, but Janel’s review has convinced me to add it to my TBR!

Book Thief Without Words reviewed The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August by Claire North – I loved this book and it’s exciting seeing other people love it too! This is a fab review for why this novel is so worth the read

Kristin Kraves Books reviewed several non-fiction books – you all know how I feel about mini-reviews! ❤❤

Misty’s Book Space reviewed Coraline by Neil Gaiman – fab fast review from Misty!

What’s Nonfiction reviewed The Kill Jar by J. Reuben Appelman – I love a review that’s out of the norm for a well liked book! It’s interesting to hear both sides

Clues and Reviews reviewed Foe by Iain Reid – this is a lovely simple review for a book I’ve been unsure about adding to my TBR or not!

Keeper of Pages wrote several mini reviews – a fab set of mini reviews from the reviewing queen herself!

Bionic Bookworm reviewed Burial Rites by Hannah Kent – Shanah is always coming out of nowhere with her low ratings for well loved books! I always love seeing her thoughts

Ally Writes Things reviewed American Gods by Neil Gaiman – this is a really easy-to-digest review from Ally

GNTxReads reviewed Sweet Pea by C. J. Skuse – it’s so fantastic to see I’ve directly convinced someone to pick up a book… that they then ended up loving!! This is a brilliant 5 star review for one of my favourite books!

  1. Thank you so much for linking to my review this week, I really appreciate that. I’m struggling with writing reviews at the moment so it’s been a real boost for me that you liked my review enough to include it in your post. I hope you enjoy the book as much as I did when you read it. 🙂
