Secret Life of a Book Blogger Tag

Secret Life of a Book Blogger Tag

So I haven’t found any new books to add to my TBR this week so I thought I’d complete on of my many long overdue tag posts!

Thank you so much to the lovely Vikki @ Me and My Mundane Life and Lisa @ My Bookshelf Dialogues for both tagging me in this post! I love getting to know more about bloggers and this is a great post to do that!

For some of my older followers, this is going to be old news, but for any newer bloggers who want to get to know me, keep on reading!

How long have you been blogging?

I have been blogging on this blog since January this year. But blogging in general I’ve been doing for a little bit longer. I originally had a beauty blog and then moved on to book blogging on a different platform, but it was crappy so I came here! Best decision! I’ve made so many friends 😊

At what point do you think you’ll stop blogging?

I’ve never really thought about this. I don’t think I’ll ever really stop blogging unless something serious happens or I fall out of love with reading. Sure, it will probably slow down when I become a home owner, change jobs, have kids (if that ever happens, probs not) etc but if I’m still in love with reading I will still blog.

What is the best thing about blogging?

I love voicing my opinions on books, it’s a lot of fun documenting my thoughts. I love reading back on my old reviews too. And of course, I love all the people I’ve met via blogging!

What is the worst thing? What do you do to make it okay?

Coming up with new blog ideas! I don’t read a million books so I’m not pumping out reviews everyday. This means I’ve got to find other blog posts to fill in the gaps, it can be tough!

I post memes and simple list posts a lot of the time. I also take inspiration from other more creative bloggers hehe.

How long does it take you to make/find pictures to use?

It takes me a couple of seconds. I use Canva, so most of my designs are already saved, I just have to change text in them, or a book cover photo. Simple!

Who is your book crush?

I don’t really get crushes on characters. I did fall for Simon from The White Road a little bit though…

What author would you like to have on your blog?

I’d love to have Stephen King on my blog! He seems like such a witty and intelligent man.

What do you wear when you write your blog post?

Anything! Sometimes I write blog posts in my pyjamas, other times I’m at work in my lunch break, so I’m wearing jeans and a blouse. It really just depends on the time of day that I’m writing a post!

How long does it take you to prepare?

Prepare for what? To write a post? Not long! If it’s a review I can whack it out in 5 minutes, sometimes it takes longer, but max half an hour! Any other posts and it’s kind of the same time frame.

How do you feel about the book blogging community?

I love them! I’ve personally never had any trouble with the community, I think that’s mainly a YA thing. I’ve made so many friends, everyone is lovely!

What do you think one should do to get a successful blog?

Just be yourself and make sure to interact with other blogs. This way you can get your name out there in the blogging world and people will start to notice you.

Sorry this isn’t such an appealing looking post today, but I hope you enjoyed learning a little about me!

I’m not tagging anyone because I’m lazy, but feel free to do it if you want!

  1. I need to start doing more of these types of posts. I think they are fun to read and I enjoy learning about the people I follow. I just am so bad about keeping track of ones I’d like to do and it just gets lost in my cluttered brain. I’m writing this one down right now!
