The Adversary was definitely the best book I read this month! I do love a true crime novel, and this one ticked all the boxes for me!

book goal update

book goal upadate.PNGI’m now up to 56 books! I’m pretty happy with this, though I wish I had managed to get a little more ahead of schedule. Still, not bad!

personal update

I feel like everyone knows what I’m going to say for my personal update this month… I got a new job! I’ve finally got past my notice period and am now actually working there too! So exciting! I’ve moved from a company selling (boring) software to other (boring) companies, to a company that make and sell wedding dresses! I’m not much of a marriage kind of girl, it’s never seemed hugely important to me, but it’s so nice working in this happy and slightly luxurious environment! Yay!

In other news, I went to the zoo, right at the beginning of the month, with my besties and boyfriend. I’m always so conflicted going to zoo’s because I hate that animals are there for entertainment and don’t have a huge amount of space, but then, some animals have been saved from being in captivity, plus Whipsnade is definitely one of the more eco and ethical zoos. Anyway, here’s some pics!

I also went to see The Book of Mormon and had a spa day all as part of mum’s birthday treat! Both were such lovely days, but The Book of Mormon tops it! What an incredible performance!!

Talking of great performances, we also went to see Dunkirk, which was amazing. So heart-breaking! It was a brilliant film with a great cast and great score. Worth going to see if you can!

that's a wrap

That’s all for this month ladies & gents! I hope you’ve all had a lovely July and here’s to an even better August!
