This week’s Top Ten Tuesday theme is all to do with book you’re anticipating for the second half of 2017. I found this week’s post surprisingly hard to comprise but I think I’ve managed to pick a few gooduns!
All of these books are being published in the second half of 2017, rather than just being books on my TBR that I’m looking forward to reading.
The Silent Companions by Laura Purcell – I contacted the publishers to request an ARC of this book but I was too late and they’d already sent them all out, which sucks! This sounds deliciously creepy and I love the cover.
Fierce Kingdom by Gin Phillips – I think this one might be a bit of a cheat, as I actually have a physical ARC copy already, which I’m part way through. But, I’m loving it and I’m looking forward to seeing what so many others think of it.
A Stranger in the House by Shari Lapena – I haven’t read Lapena’s other novel yet but I’m really looking forward to this one. This is another novel I have an ARC for, but I haven’t started it yet.
Heather, the Totality by Matthew Weiner – people have been saying this one is really dark and disturbing, so I can’t wait for that! I am eagerly awaiting being able to read it!
Black Mad Wheel by Josh Malerman – after reading Bird Box and super loving it, I can’t wait for this new one from Malerman!
Fear by Dirk Kurbjuweit – this one doesn’t come out til 2018 but I’m still counting it because I’m really excited about it! This one sounds a bit dark and like it could have some ethical issues to tackle while you’re reading, and I love those kinds of books!
The Blind by A J Brady – I’m not sure why I’m so drawn to this novel but the whole idea of it being about mind games is interesting to me.
Meddling Kids by Edgar Cantero – no, I’m not just excited about this one because the author’s name is my surname hehe. I loved Cantero’s first English translated novel and this is a mystery that incorporates Scooby Doo stuff into it, which sounds awesome!
Sweet Little Lies by Caz Frear – I recently read a sneak peek of this one and from the first couple of chapters, I was already creeped out and wanting to know more, so I’m really looking forward to when this one comes out!
The Mentor by Lee Matthew Goldberg – I was declined this on Netgalley which made me want to read it even more, so I preordered it. I love the premise for this one, about a manuscript that describes a murder that sounds eerily similar to an unsolved cold case.
There we have it, those are some of the books I’m really looking forward to in the coming months.
Are you looking forward to any of these ones soon? What are some of the books you’re looking forward to in the rest of 2017?
As part of The Well-Thumbed Reader’s Big Blogger, Little Blogger project, I’m introducing you to The Underground Bookdom, a fun blog full of YA book reviews, tags and more! Go check it out and follow!
I’m so out of the loop! I haven’t heard of any of these. However, I’m really looking forward to reading these review on your blog. For some reason, Heather the Totally appeals to me. Although, I do like darker books.
