Sunday Summary | 5th – 12th March

sunday sum

Currently reading:

I just finished Sometimes I Lie so I haven’t actually picked up a new book book yet! But it will most likely be the book I’ve mentioned under “Books I’m planning on reading next”.

Books finished this week:

The Fall of Lisa Bellow by Susan Perabo – this was a book I was really, really looking forward to and turned out to be totally not my kind of book, which really sucks. My review for it will be up on the publication day.

Sometimes I Lie by Alice Feeney – Loved, loved, loved this! Such an amazing twisty turny suspense novel. My review will be up soon, but I’m still processing what I’ve read!

Books I’m planning on reading next:

Butterfly on the Storm by Walter Lucius – this is another Netgalley read for me, and even though it’s a police procedural, something I’m not that big on, it’s said to be really excellent!

Books bought this week:

The Roanoke Girls by Amy Engel – if you haven’t heard of this book already, I hate to say it, but I think you might be living under a rock! This is absolutely everywhere at the moment! I was declined for it on Netgalley so I pre-ordered it in December it’s just arrived this week, I’m very excited to read it!

Hekla’s Children by James Brogden – another pre-ordered book. I came upon this book out of pure chance. I’d never heard of it, or the author, before I saw it suggested for me on Amazon but after reading the synopsis, I knew I had to get it. This is a horror mystery so I’m really looking forward to reading it.

Books received this week:

From Netgalley – Persons Unknown by Susie Steiner (AHHHHH, I’m so happy I was                                                accepted for this!!!! It’s the second of the DS Manon series)

Margin of Lust by Greta Boris

  1. I thought the Roanoak Girls was great, even though it dealt with some horrific, dark content matter. It really seems to be splitting people into two groups – you either love it or hate it – so it would be great to hear what you think!
