The Goodreads Tag

img_5973Thank you so much to Balie @ Nerd in New York for tagging me in this post! I’ve not seen this tag post before so I’m excited to have been chosen to do it. Go check out Balie’s excellent book blog!

I’m being really lazy, again, and not saving all the pics and adding them to this post, I’m just going to write them out! Sorry not sorry!

What was the last book you marked as read?

cover104927-medium

Siren by Annemarie Neary was the last book I marked as read on Goodreads! It was a pretty good book and was a change from the emotion driven, drama stories I’ve been reading more recently.

What are you currently reading?

I”m currently reading The Witchfinder’s Sister by Beth Underdown, thanks to Netgalley! It’s being released early March. (Can we all appreciate this gorgeous cover?!)

What was the last book you marked as “to read”?

34235507

Savage Rising by C. Hoyt Caldwell was the last book I marked as “to-read” on my Goodreads account. This is the second novel in the Backwoods Justice series.

Do you use the star system?

Yes! I find it really annoying when people don’t use a rating system! I don’t care what you use to rate stuff with, but please, at least rate it. It’s all well and good writing out a long review, but I feel like without knowing what they rated it, it’s hard to gauge how they feel about it.

Are you doing the 2017 reading challenge?

challenge

Of course! I love setting myself a challenge!

Do you have a wishlist?

Well, kind of. My “to-read” list on Goodreads kind of just counts as my wishlist.

Who are your favourite authors?

I haven’t actually read many of the same authors again and again. I like Stephen King and M R Carey. I also enjoy Robert Bryndza’s work. But, like I said, I haven’t actually read that many of their books.

Have you joined any groups?

I did join a few groups on Goodreads, but I don’t really get involved with them. I know I probably should, but I don’t like being told what to read and when, I like reading at my own pace.

How many Goodreads shelves do you have?

shelves

I have 19 shelves! Whoa! I didn’t realise I had that many. I think my shelves are pretty under control though. I see some people with over 100 shelves! How can they keep up with that?

I tag:

Inside my Library Mind // Whimsy Pages // Ava the Nerd // The Alice Fan // Kook Bookery // Book Princess Reviews (returning the favour 😉)

  1. The Witchfinder’s Sister looks great. And I’m sorry, but I’ve stopped using ratings 😛 It took me longer to rate than to write and it was ridiculous and I didn’t like rating books anyway. I hope you can still read my posts haha

  2. Thank you so much, Zuky, for the tag. XD I can’t wait to do this one! I feel like I haven’t seen it around much, but it seems super cool. And at first, I was like, wow, 19 shelves…but then I probably realized I have as many. It becomes kind of addicting to make them. And I agree about the rating system, whenever I see that people don’t rate things, I just assume that they didn’t like it and then I get confused on if it’s a glowing review. Fantastic job with your post, Zuky, and it was a lot of fun to read. 😀

    1. Yes! I love making new shelves on my Goodreads too, it’s fun to organise them all (so lame lol)
Yes! I’m glad you agree with the rating system thing! I don’t care what you rate with just rate it!!
I’m looking forward to seeing all your answers! 😋
